Since TES Inc. was established in 2005, our business has grown around a straightforward understanding of the mining industry. Equipment needs to do the job it was built for, operate safely in demanding conditions and be supported throughout its working life.

Based in the Sudbury mining district, we have the opportunity to work closely with the people who operate, maintain and manage underground equipment every day. Their experience has helped shape our company and the equipment we manufacture.

Today, TES Inc. designs and builds SPARTA Underground Utility Vehicles and the MineReach Series, develops custom equipment for specific mining applications. These capabilities allow us to support customers well beyond the initial equipment purchase.

I have always believed that understanding the customer’s operation is where good equipment design and service begin. Every mine has its own requirements. Equipment must fit the working environment, perform the intended task and be practical for maintenance teams to support. The decisions made during engineering and manufacturing can affect operating costs, serviceability and equipment life for years to come.

Our responsibility also extends to how we work with our customers. Many of our machines are built to order and require ongoing communication throughout engineering, fabrication and delivery. Clear expectations, accurate information and follow-through are important parts of that relationship.

We know that mines depend on their equipment to maintain production, and that maintenance teams depend on access to parts, repairs and technical support when they need them. These are responsibilities we take seriously, whether we are supplying a new vehicle, rebuilding an existing machine or helping a customer resolve a component issue.

Over the years, we have built lasting relationships with mines, contractors and industry partners. Those relationships are earned through the work we deliver, the commitments we honour and the way we respond when challenges arise.
