SAFETY FIRST, IN OUR WORK AND OUR EQUIPMENT

Safety is part of how we design, manufacture, maintain and support underground mining equipment. At TES Inc., our zero-harm mindset guides our workplace practices, equipment engineering and commitment to protecting the people who build, operate and maintain our machines.

SAFETY IS PART OF EVERYTHING WE DO

From our manufacturing facility in Greater Sudbury to the underground operations our equipment supports, safety requires attention to people, equipment and working conditions. Our approach combines safe workplace practices, equipment engineering and an understanding of the hazards associated with underground mining. Equipment safety is considered throughout design, manufacturing and service, with the final configuration evaluated against the mine’s operating requirements.

 PEOPLE & WORKPLACE SAFETY

Our people are central to the equipment and services we provide.

TES Inc. promotes a zero-harm mindset through safety awareness, risk identification, operating standards and compliance management practices. These measures support the identification and management of workplace hazards across manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance and mechanical service activities.

We recognize that protecting employees, contractors and visitors requires ongoing attention to the conditions in which work takes place.

EQUIPMENT & OPERATOR SAFETY

Underground mobile equipment must protect operators while allowing them to complete demanding tasks in confined working environments.

TES Inc. equipment incorporates safety features such as ROPS/FOPS protective structures, spring-applied hydraulically released (SAHR) braking systems, fire suppression, operator visibility provisions and accessible service points.

Each feature is evaluated within the equipment’s overall configuration rather than treated as a standalone guarantee of safety.

MINE-SPECIFIC SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Every underground operation has its own working conditions, site standards and equipment acceptance requirements.

TES Inc. works with customers to establish application and configuration requirements before equipment is finalized. Custom equipment and modifications require consideration of structural integrity, stability, operator protection, controls, maintenance access and applicable approvals.

Suitability depends on the equipment configuration and the mine’s own technical and safety review.

A ZERO-HARM MINDSET AT TES INC.

Our commitment to safety starts with the people working in our own facility.

TES Inc. recognizes safety as an ongoing responsibility. Our approach emphasizes awareness, risk identification, established working procedures and accountability for the conditions in which work is performed.

The same responsibility extends to the equipment we manufacture and service. We understand that mine personnel rely on equipment safety systems and that maintenance teams must be able to inspect, repair and support those systems throughout the machine’s life.

Our goal is to protect the people who work at TES Inc., the customers who depend on our equipment and the communities in which we operate.
