Based in the Sudbury mining district, TES Inc. designs, manufactures and services underground mining equipment. From SPARTA and MineReach vehicles to custom equipment, electrical systems, parts and rebuilds, our team supports mines and contractors throughout the equipment lifecycle.
CANADIAN BUILT OEM
Founded in 2005, TES Inc. is a privately owned Canadian company specializing in the design, manufacture, service and rebuilding of underground mining equipment.
Our operations are based in Chelmsford, in the Greater Sudbury mining district. Working in one of Canada’s established hard-rock mining regions has given our company direct exposure to the operating requirements of underground mines and the people responsible for keeping equipment available.
We understand that mining equipment decisions extend beyond the initial purchase. A machine must complete the required work, fit the operating environment, meet applicable safety requirements and be practical to maintain throughout its service life.
TES Inc. brings equipment engineering, manufacturing, electrical systems, mechanical services and parts support together to address these requirements. We work with mine operators, contractors and maintenance teams on new equipment, custom applications, repairs and equipment life-extension projects.

FROM OPERATING REQUIREMENTS TO LONG-TERM EQUIPMENT SUPPORT
A mining equipment purchase is a significant operating and capital decision. The equipment must meet the mine’s requirements, but the manufacturer must also be able to manage the engineering, production and support responsibilities that follow.
Our approach is built around direct communication, practical engineering and an understanding of the customer’s operation.
UNDERSTANDING THE REQUIREMENT
Every mine operates within a different combination of heading dimensions, access restrictions, production requirements, safety standards and maintenance resources.
Before recommending or developing equipment, we work with customers to establish the intended duty and the specifications that will determine whether the equipment is suitable.
For custom or modified equipment, this can involve reviewing dimensions, lifting requirements, attachments, operating conditions and the technical implications of the requested configuration.
Our objective is to establish a clear understanding of the work before committing to the equipment design and manufacturing scope.
SUPPORT THROUGH THE BUILD
We recognize the importance of maintaining communication throughout the build, particularly when technical changes, component availability or production schedules affect the project.
Our responsibility continues through equipment delivery and into the operating life of the machine.
Parts availability, maintenance, component repairs and rebuild services are important considerations for customers managing equipment fleets over several years.
By combining manufacturing and aftermarket capabilities, TES Inc. can remain involved as operating requirements change and equipment moves through its service life.
