The MineReach Face Prep unit combines lift reach, stability, and underground compliance in one compact platform. Designed for safe and efficient face preparation, installation, and service work in headings under 2.5 m, it delivers the strength of a telehandler with the maneuverability of an articulated utility vehicle. Built in Sudbury, Ontario, this model reflects TES Inc.’s engineering focus on reliability, safety, and lifetime value, helping mines reduce fleet size, lower ventilation demand, and improve daily productivity.
MINEREACH FACE PREP FEATURES
The MineReach Face Prep is designed for safe, versatile performance in confined underground environments. Powered by a Cummins QSF 3.8 L Tier 3 engine and Carraro TCB90 transmission, it combines proven drivetrain reliability with precise control and a compact 2.47 m tramming height. The single-stage telescopic boom with flip-up forks provides a 2.24 m reach and 5,000 lb lift capacity, while the integrated backhoe delivers a 2.67 m digging depth and 180° swing for face preparation and service work. Operator protection is ensured through a ROPS/FOPS-certified canopy, SAHR braking, and onboard fire suppression. With ground-level maintenance access, LED lighting, and a lock-out master switch, the unit is built for efficiency and safety. Its articulated frame and 2.89 m inner turning radius provide excellent maneuverability, making the Face Prep a dependable, Canadian-built solution for daily underground operations.
