The Opportunity – In Shop

We are currently seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentices, first term to fourth term, to join our team at TES in Chelmsford. This is a full-time position with a competitive wage and a comprehensive benefits package with a contribution pension plan.

As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge working with a Licenced HDEM and apply it to manufacturing, repairing and maintaining various underground and surface mobile equipment.

Responsibilities for Apprentices:

  • Working safely under the direction of a licenced HDEM and Service Manager to gain the knowledge and skills needed to complete the Ontario HDEM Apprenticeship program
  • Manufacturing, repairing and maintaining various Underground and Surface mobile equipment at the Total Equipment Services shop in Chelmsford.
  • Being able to complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Services on mobile equipment in a scheduled timeframe
  • Working as a team in a shop atmosphere on repairs and rebuilds of components and assemblies
  • Able to maintain a clean work environment when repairing/maintaining equipment using pressure washers and following any procedures from the Service Manager

  • 10-hour shift Monday to Thursday
