TES Inc.

Inside Sales Representative

INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

About TES Inc.

Based in Sudbury, Ontario, TES Inc. designs, manufactures, services and rebuilds underground mining equipment. Our work includes SPARTA utility vehicles, MineReach multi-purpose utility vehicles, parts and service support, and electrical equipment.

About The Role

TES Inc. is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to help customers get the parts they need and keep their orders moving. You will respond to phone and email inquiries, look up parts, prepare quotations and process orders and invoices while working closely with our Parts and Warehouse teams.

The immediate priority is dependable service for existing accounts and owners of TES equipment. As you learn the products and customers, you will also reach out proactively, develop new relationships and identify relevant parts and component needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer parts enquiries by phone and email. Call customers to clarify requests, follow up on quotations and explain order status. Recognize urgent equipment-down requests and involve the right person promptly.
  • Use our parts software, catalogues and equipment records to find parts. Confirm part numbers, quantities and equipment model or serial details. Check uncertain matches or substitutions with Parts or the appropriate technical person.
  • Prepare quotations using approved pricing. Confirm stock, sourcing and delivery information with Parts, Warehouse or approved suppliers before making a commitment to the customer.
  • Enter sales orders and create invoices in the parts system. Check customer purchase orders against the quotation, including quantities, prices and shipping details. Resolve discrepancies and prepare or follow up on supplier purchase orders within assigned authority.
  • Coordinate order fulfilment with Warehouse. Follow backorders, shortages and delivery changes through to the customer. Coordinate returns, core credits and warranty requests with the responsible team.
  • Keep customer contacts, order history and relevant equipment details current, including where TES units are operating. Leave clear notes and a next action so another team member can follow the request.
  • Build repeat business through useful follow-up. As your product knowledge develops, contact existing, former and prospective customers about upcoming needs, suitable related components and planned parts purchases.

Working With Our Team

You will own customer communication and accurate order processing while working with Parts, Warehouse, Service, Finance and Sales. Technical staff confirm uncertain part suitability. Obtain approval for pricing exceptions, credit terms, purchasing commitments and warranty decisions. Raise missing information or delays early rather than leaving a request unanswered.

Experience And Qualifications

Direct mining or parts-sales experience is an asset, not a requirement. Relevant experience may come from an order desk, customer service, automotive or equipment counter, industrial supply, purchasing support or an administrative role involving customers and detailed records.

  • Comfortable answering the phone and making outbound calls. Able to ask clear questions, listen carefully and write straightforward customer emails.
  • Confident using a computer throughout the day, including email, searches, spreadsheets and business software. Able to learn a parts and order-processing system.
  • Careful with numbers and details. Able to compare part references, quantities, prices and order documents, and flag information that does not match.
  • Able to organize several customer requests, keep track of promises and follow up without repeated reminders.
  • Interested in learning equipment and parts. Willing to check the information, ask for help when needed and develop the confidence to suggest relevant products.

In your application, briefly describe the customer requests you have handled and the software or order records you have used. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a brief order-checking and customer-response exercise.

Working Conditions

This is an on-site position with our Sudbury-area Parts team, primarily involving computer work, phone calls and email. You will also work with colleagues in the warehouse and shop and follow the applicable safety requirements. The role is focused on the inside sales desk rather than regular mine-site travel.

How Success Is Measured

Success means customers receive timely answers, quotations and order records are accurate, and open requests are followed through. As product knowledge grows, we will also look for useful proactive customer contact, suitable additional parts sales and repeat business. Clear communication and reliable work matter as much as the number of orders processed.
